KarKar Island in Papua New Guinea is among the harder to reach cocoa farming regions that we source from. This volcanic island rises straight out of the sea and is visible for miles around – a beautiful sight for anyone enduring the only way onto the island by boat. Our farming families, the Goodyears and Middletons, are the main employers on the island and generations of local inhabitants have chosen to work there thanks to their fair and sustainable practises.
